The Center for Student Cultural Diversity helped celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with a hot topic discussion. This panel discussion was hosted at the Knowledge Center at UNR on Tuesday October 8.
A discussion led by moderator, Ricardo Salazar, started a bit slow with what might have been last of a shy panel. The topic soon had the complete panel composed of Latino UNR graduates, professors, staff and students sharing their numerous individual view points and a strength in reasoning.
The audience formed part of every discussion. Many represented their individual culture all to attempt and accomplish the meaning behind what it means to be Hispanic/Latino. Comments of how educational each panel’s contribution was to their gained knowledge of the Hispanic/Latino culture, reigned the night.
